I have been amazed ! and haunted… by TWIN PEAKS in these past few weeks…
an American television serial drama/mystery created by the almighty David Lynch and Mark Frost in early 90s. The Log Lady, Agent Cooper, Laura Palmer, Audrey Horne, and the unforgiving BOB (among other characters) have successfully captured my heart, messed up with my head (and gave me quite strange dreams).
It is one of the best TV shows ever made. It is strange, surreal, truly original, and definitely one of the best trips worth experiencing. I can’t believe I have only found out about this show a few months ago. Reading ‘The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer’ and watching ‘Fire Walk With Me’ only add on to my curiosity about this small town of Twin Peaks and its wonderful absurdity. Although the ending has been giving me nightmares, I can only admit that Twin Peaks has become an addiction.
One of my favourite quotes..
“Garland, what do you fear most in the world?”
“The possibility that love is not enough”
:)
well, now I’m going to pour myself a cup of joe and treat myself with a cherry pie…
And now, an ending. Where there was once one, there are now two. Or were there always two? What is a reflection? A chance to see two? When there are chances for reflections, there can always be two or more. Only when we are everywhere will there be just one. It has been a pleasure speaking to you.” –The Log Lady
